We must embrace the opportunities that collaboration between businesses, entrepreneurs and universities presents to our nation's future. Without combining their knowledge, insight and expertise, our attempts to forge progress risk fragmentation which denies our communities the opportunity for healthy development, and Australia the opportunity for economic resilience and sustainable prosperity.

We need to make the most of the natural synergies between our industries and universities that, through openness, mutual respect, and knowledge sharing, will benefit all of us, the communities in which we live and learn, future generations, and Australia as part of a global economy.
